SUMMARY

Are you ready for the impending 2025 Telehealth changes? For the past several years, because of the PHE, providers have been able to see patients via telehealth or telemedicine. Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, the flexibilities in place are set to be reversed. Are you ready? Unless Congress acts, the geographic limitations in place prior to the PHE will reactivate. This means patients will need to return to the office to receive care. CMS has permanently extended some telehealth services, but for the vast majority or providers and patients, this technology will no longer be an option. Join us as we dive into what this change means for the healthcare industry and to your organization.

Key Takeaways:

• Learn more about how telehealth was utilized during the PHE, it’s advantages and disadvantages.
• Learn more about the new CPT® telehealth codes
• Discuss the deletion of telephone service codes (99441-99443)
• Learn more about coverage and reimbursement policies as it relates to CMS and non-CMS plans
• Learn more about the coding and billing requirements for CMS vs. non-CMS payers
• Discuss provider workflow and potential disruption
• Discuss patient satisfaction and expectations post a virtual healthcare setting
