Mastering Neoplasm Diagnosis Coding: ICD-10-CM Guidelines and Best Practices

Attendees will gain knowledge needed for accurate diagnosis coding of neoplasms. We’ll cover the relevant ICD-10-CM guidelines, explore how to use the Table of Neoplasms, and review the proper sequencing of neoplasm codes.

We will also discuss when to code current malignancy versus personal history of malignancy, as well as sequencing of neoplasm-related complications and proper use of encounter codes in oncology.

They have also worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years.

Her experience includes 10 years of managed care contracting analysis for hospitals, physicians, ancillary providers, and payers. Suwinski has also worked in risk adjustment coding and hospital billing. Currently, she is a radiation oncology coder for a physician practice.
