Hello fellow Coders.
I am seeking information on billing T1015 on the same claim as H2011.
Scenario: The patient comes to the practice to see her psychiatry provider, presenting with suicidal ideations. This visit is escalated to a crisis intervention as the patient becomes hospitalized at a psychiatric clinic elsewhere.
Since the care is being handed off to the other facility, we use a crisis intervention code, H2011, as opposed to a high-level E/M code, 99215.
The psychiatric care originated in our practice and the provider prescribed usual medications. These medications would be sent to the psychiatric in-patient clinic where the patient will be.
Can the provider use T1015 since medication management was performed?
Can H2011,HO and T1015, be billed together?
